Spring is here in Pauanui!
Today's weather forecast is for severe cold conditions moving up New Zealand in the next few days, but here in Pauanui we will only have a few mild frosts and daytime temperatures of 15 degrees celsius, we think.
We know spring is here because this pine trees in the nearby forests are in flower and are distributing their yellow pollen all over the area. Pine trees in flower? I here you ask. How is a pine cone created, do you think?
The dusting of the yellow powder will continue for the next few weeks as different varieties of pines distribute their pollen, often quite visible in a light breeze. The pollen makes more work keeping our units clean and our black car takes on a different look.
Summer will be here before long!
After a recent assessment by Qualmark we are pleased to advise that we have again achieved the Four Star Plus level from our national accommodation quality system. We are sure that the policy we have to constantly improve our property by making changes and regularly replacing chattels really assists us to remain at a high level of achievement.
We are strong supporters of Qualmark and are pleased more sections of the tourism industry are using their assessment system and that our Qualmark systems are being more recognised by our overseas visitors.
